Is Google trying to force me back to Hotmail? Over to Bing?

Clock counts down as Google privacy change looms | Digital Media - CNET News

I have struggled through some of the privacy changes and gave up. Instead I have been reading what other faster, smarter more informed people have written and maybe I will have go back to Hotmail or even my old yahoo mail account.
I don't want to but what to do. With Google it seems I have been putting all of my eggs in one basket and that might not be the best thing to do. But I've come to love and depend on Google products.

Bing? NOOOOO!

I don't know. And blogging, not that am any good, popular etc. but hey I use mostly Google stuff. This must be a plot to drive me away. That is it! They found out about my dependance on them and decided to tighten the screw till I left because I am dragging the value of the company down with my attitude and good looks.

I don't know. I feel that with the new changes we should be at least a little concerned about where they will take this.

What to do? Any good advice would be appreciated. Bad advice would be read too.

Just a little paranoid

America should be so proud. Barack Obama must feel that he is protecting the country.

Canadian family endures U.S. border nightmare

They put little men that are power freaks at boarder check sites and tell them they can harass people and them don't have to keep a record of it.

Oh to be American in the land of the not so free and the home of the not so brave that I won't keep a record of what we do to innocent people.

Makes me glad I'm not from the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Teachers and police officers combine to overreact.

Girl's drawing of gun lands dad in trouble

Does this surprise me? Teachers from my experiences are just babysitters with just enough education to make them dangerous. They are not doctors of psychology. They have some information that they are to pass on to children.

Should the father of every child that ever places their parent on a pedestal be pulled in for questioning? Should the father of every child that ever makes a drawing of a gun be arrested?

So the child believed the gun was real. I bet the teachers and police officers children believed in santa, the easter bunny, the tooth fairy and god too.

Every time a child believes in something that is not true should the parent be arrested?

Just a thought. Maybe every time a child believes in something that is not true should the parent be arrested. Then some of these bat shit crazy ideas could be stamped out. The catholic church could go around interfering in peoples lives and accusing people of herasy.

Oh hang on. We have already spent too many centuries doing that. Why not try some uncommon sense and just ask the guy about the gun.

That will never happen. That is why it is called uncommon sense.

Why stop it? Expand it to include required castration for repeat offenders, offenders that refuse to rehabilitate and maybe all pedophiles.

BBC News - Germany urged to end sex offender castration

Just a thought. I have kids. I have daughters.

Sounds like it might be a deterrent and for just maybe there would be a few less repeat offenders.

One can't expect a government to make best management practices

The (Ontario) Liberals say they're not going to implement all 362 recommendations, even though Drummond warned that's exactly what they need to do to eliminate the deficit.

What is a "best management practice?"

  • a practical, affordable approach to conserving a province's social and business resources without sacrificing productivity

NDP, Tories call for changes in wake of Drummond report | CTV Toronto

Yes I know that I am promoting an old, stolen idea but I think MP and MLA salary and expense accounts should be cut when ever a government runs a deficit.

Just my opinion and nobody wants to hear that.

Reservation sues beer brewers for alcohol-related suffering - Weird News - Canoe.ca

This isn't weird news, it is about time news. If I was making something that was harming a large group of people ( think Thalidomide) should I be allowed to ignore the problems that I was causing to society? NO!
Alcohol makers and distributors should be made to become a responsible members of the community not just focus on selling more beer to make more profit. The retail outlet manager in the village of Whiteclay would have to be a few bottles short of a case to not know what was happening to this volume of beer moving through their business. Alcohol is known to cause birth defects these dristributors should be held somehow responsible to educate users and mimimise the danger to future generations.
In the end we all pay for the effects of alcohol abuse. More of that burden should be put on the shoulders of the companies that take a profit from the manufacture and distribution of alcohol.

And Google knows this too

Google knows too much about you - CNN.com

Ok, now I am starting to get concerned. If it is about me and it is my information and Google lets it out for general consumption in any way that it can be connected to me can I take them to court for damages? Should I? I did accept the terms.

But honestly your Honor it was under duress I had to send an email and Microsoft had taken Hotmail. What was I to do the Evil Empire left me no choice. Then they had to start offering all of those other neat apps. I was blinded by science.

I want my mullet back. To go back to when I was ignorant to the fact that Google was keeping all the dumb ass crap I searched, tracked emailed and chatted. I AM SO SCREWED.

I am so sorry honey. It was just porn. They mean nothing to me.
Be afraid

Santorum’s big victories: What will front-runner Mitt Romney do now? - Slate Magazine

santorum is a big victory? I thought that the frothy mix was more of an unpleasant surprise than a victory but then Americans are a different sort so what ever turns their crank.

Oh My Nonexistent God!

US should arm Syrian opposition: McCain | News24

What are these people thinking. Why not send guns to everybody.

Can the Americans not see that their biggest problems are from their own interference in others internal affairs that come back around to bite them in the ass.

I should say something intelligent about failing to learn from history and then having to repeat it but I am not intelligent and I am bad with quotes.

Spanking kids can cause long-term harm - Canada study - Reuters -

Bull S**T - Putting people in prison can cause long-term harm.
Prohibition policies can cause long-term harm.
Government policies can cause long-term harm.

Appropriate disipline, that can sometimes include spanking, can prevent long term harm.

Have any of you been in a public school in the last ten years. Lack of discipline, I am not talking about beatings, a swat that carries through to connect a consequence with an action when needed before a child becomes out of control.

Yes I know that I may not always be politically correct but . . .

I am not talking about bruises or welts and we have never spanked in our house as my wife is a woose.

I got spanked twice by my father as I was trying to grow-up (I failed but hey I tried ) and that was all I needed. It was both times for something serious and I learned to think about my choices. I could do things that I knew my father would disapprove of and take the consequence if he found out or decide that it wasn't worth the risk.

Yes I agree that sometimes there are people that go overboard but some people go overboard about everything including a total lack of discipline in children.

Here is a novel idea why not teach parenting in public schools. If you don't want spanking teach young adults about raising well adjusted children not wild animals that give teachers nervous breakdowns.

Just my opinion.

Check this out, as if my living expenses weren't high enough.

Iran official says oil could reach $150 per barrel - World - CBC News

We live 45km to the closest town with any services.

Let's get the Americans to start a war with Iran. That will drive up the price of oil, slow expansion and drive up the cost of living.

Thank you all so very much.
