Oil is all that counts. The rest of the economy can go to - - well

edmontonsun.com - Opinion/Comment - Much-lauded royalty plan now uncertain

Mr Premier,
I'm not going to drill because you want me to pay taxes (royalties) until you lower my taxes I'm going to hold my breath! It worked with mom and dad and I'm sure it will work with you too.
I caused the slow down in drilling by holding my breath it's not the fact that nobody wants the gas and oil that we would be drilling for.
I know that if you lower the royalties that demand will increase, I promise. You see the recession is not real. We, the oil companies that drill for oil made it happen to punish the Alberta people for trying to get more money out of their oil resource.

Come on Ed Stelmach think about it. The oil will still be there next year.
Alberta has survived oil slumps before and will again. When the demand increases they will drill, royalties of not. Take some time, a year or two. See what happens.

Take a breath, let them hold their breath.

Show us who really runs this province

DJ Mexico Meat Packaging Requirement Could Be Blow To US Exports

Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

KANSAS CITY (Dow Jones)--A proposed change in meat import packaging
requirements by Mexico, if implemented later this month as scheduled, could be a major blow to U.S. meat exports, according to U.S. meat industry organizations.

The proposed change in packaging specifications made by Mexican officials
would eliminate the use of combo bins and require that all meat products be in boxes. Combo bins are large cardboard containers that hold approximately 2,000 pounds of fresh meat products for further processing.

Funny how when Americans restrict access to their markets it is billed as food safety. Yet when someone else does it there is "no scientific or legal justification".

COOL regulations in America has done to Canadian producers what the Mexican regulations will do to American producers.

To Mexicans - Way to go!!!

To Americans - What is good for the goose is good for the gander. HA HA!

Should polygamy be illegal in Canada?

What real value does this law have? Please, anybody. As long as it is between consenting adults. Why can't a gay guy have as many husbands as he wants?

Yes I am also concerned, disgusted etc., when I here about young girls being married of to older men in arranged marriages and the like. That is very different. We need to protect our children from people that would take advantage of their inexperience.
When some one becomes an adult they can make their own decisions.

This law is, I believe, based on a passage in the bible that say that if a mam wants to be a deacon in the church he should have only one wife. Hell, I don't even want to be in the church let alone a deacon.

If you are getting married in a church then the church can have a say but a civil marriage is a government marriage not a religious deal so get the government out of our bedrooms and back into the closet where they belong

Who really cares what ( or who ) I do in the bedroom
